"S.C.O.R.E. is important to me because it has taught me many valuable life lessons and it has connected me with many like-minded girls, who are on the same path as me.
I decided to participate with this non-profit because I believe in reaching back into our community to impact the lives of young teenagers. I decided to continue to support her on her STEM journey by provided a $250 scholarship for books for the first semester of college.
Dr. Danielle Green-Watson, Podiatrist/Foot Ankle Surgeon
Growing up I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life. Even towards the end of my time in high school, I didn’t know what my next step was going to be. In a world where many people are looking out for themselves, it seemed as if I was alone in trying to map out my future. It was not until I was blessed with the opportunity of working under an amazing woman, doctor, and entrepreneur.
This program not only has helped me work with women within the S.T.E.M. field but also girls my age. I cannot thank S.C.O.R.E. enough for everything they've done for me because they are helping me get one step closer to my aspirations and dreams.

After reaching out to Dr. Davidson for academic advice, she assured me that my struggles, doubts, and fears were normal. She shared her journey through college with me, letting me know that my goals were most definitely obtainable with a lot of hard work and dedication.
Thank you Dr. Davidson for taking Kennedy under your wings. She is doing great. Just got the news that she is ranked 6/511 and now has a 4.211 GPA. She is attending the CAP meetings and trying to decide where to go to college.

"Not having any representation or guidance around me forced me to blindly make decisions that were not necessarily the best. It was vital for me to have a mentor to direct me on how to go about my first year of college in terms of classes, shadowing opportunities, and extracurricular activities. Not having someone I could turn to really hurt me during my first few years of college and even discouraged me to continue pursuing a career as a doctor for some time. I am currently a junior and having Dr. Janelle Davidson who has walked down a path that I hope to go down, has been nothing but encouraging and uplifting. She has been able to advise me on what I need to do to accomplish my goals and has opened my eyes to the different paths for me to get there."
